Batch Process Folder + Maximum Size

Thanks for this report! I've just repeated it on Mac OS, and it looks like this bug was in fact introduced in v2.8 (tests in v2.7 behave properly). We will get on getting this fixed. Quick question for scope: can you confirm if you are on Mac/Windows?
  3. Present in v2.7. To reproduce: Open a photoAdd a Fill border or an image borderRemove that Fill border or Image border tileExpected result: border is removed, photo aspect ratio photo remains at default for image Error result: border is removed, but photo aspect ratio is adjusted (via crop) to image+border

    El Capitan Photos Extensions, Please

Thanks everyone for your feedback! We would LOVE to have more fully-featured access through Extensions or drag-and-drop ability between Photos and CameraBag (like with Aperture/iPhoto and CameraBag previously); unfortunately, this is related to the new restrictions Apple puts on apps and how they can interact with each other. Our hands are tied until they make some changes on their end. In a nutshell, the access we have is limited by Apple's rules, and we are only using Extensions because Apple insists on it. Apple has currently disallowed sharing data between an actual app and that app's "Extension", which means we can't give users access via the Extension to new user-created filters or some other features of the app. They also do not allow the drag-and-drop opening with Photos that used to be allowed with iPhoto, insisting that these files can ONLY be shared through their new Extensions setup. So we're stuck with either limited Extension access or the clunky export/edit/re-import to Photos. We'd love for CameraBag users to write Apple and ask them to allow Photos to interact with external photo apps like could be done in iPhoto--rather than insisting apps only interact with Photos through their new Extensions setup. This would allow US to make CameraBag play well with Photos (drag and drop) just like it used to play with iPhoto, which we would happily do if they allowed it. As people have mentioned, it's not hard to do programmatically; it's just Apple's rules preventing us from doing it.

    Question about Extensions

Thanks for trying out CameraBag! Unfortunately, Extensions only work on the Mac App Store version, due to Apple's rules regarding Extensions and Sandboxing. While we are required to have Sandboxing turned on for the MAS version (and to use Extensions at all), we have them turned off for the Nevercenter-downloaded version to preserve other features (which turning on Sandboxing automatically disables, such as using the arrow keys in-app to browse through all of the photos in a given folder). Tldr; Buying the license for the site demo version won't fix them, but they do work on the MAS download. Hope this helps!

    CameraBag 2.8 is Released!

Hi Lekkerville, Thanks for your feedback! We would love to have more fully-featured access through Extensions or drag-and-drop ability between Photos and CameraBag; unfortunately, this is related to the new restrictions Apple puts on apps and how they can interact with each other. Our hands are tied until they make some changes on their end. In a nutshell, the access we have is limited by Apple's rules, and we are only using Extensions because Apple insists on it. Apple has currently disallowed sharing data between an actual app and that app's "Extension", which means we can't give users access to user-created filters or a lot of the other features of the app. They also do not allow the drag-and-drop opening with Photos that used to be allowed with iPhoto, insisting that these files can ONLY be shared through their new Extensions setup. We'd love for CameraBag users to write Apple and ask them to allow Photos to interact with external photo apps like could be done in iPhoto--rather than insisting apps only interact with Photos through their new Extensions setup. El Capitan Photos Extensions, Please

Thanks, everyone, for putting in the request. We have great news! With the (free for v2.x license holder) update to CameraBag 2.8, we have El Capitan photos extension in. http://nevercenter.com/camerabag/forum/index.php?/topic/39-camerabag-28-is-released/&do=findComment&comment=65 Love to hear what you think.
  8. Bug introduced in v2.7; clicking a second time on "Crop/Straighten" sidebar button when the Crop/Straighten editor is currently active causes a program crash. (Since editor opens in active state after clicking, also occurs if you double-click on the Crop/Straighten sidebar button.) --- To reproduce: Open a photoIn the Adjustments tab, click on the Crop/Straighten buttonBefore exiting Crop/Straighten editor, click on the Crop/Straighten button againExpected result: Crop/Straighten stays active, second click feels like it is ignored Error result: Program crashes

    Snow Leopard

Hi Famka, Sorry about this. Unfortunately, we are unable support Snow Leopard because there are built-in features to the newer OSes that CameraBag Cinema relies on to work. These features simply aren't available for us to access from Apple in older OSes. We would have been happy to support Snow Leopard if it had been possible. Hope this helps with understanding what's going on, and that if you ever DO end up updating, that you will consider us again. -Presque

Vertical Video - Not Saving Correctly

Thanks for the feedback! Just tried this and we can save in vertical format, but it does look like there might be an error with some iPhone MOV files where the video appears zoomed in and cropped horizontally on first load. When this happens, it also leads to horizontally-cropped saved videos. It might be a refresh/display error; if we click on the Crop/Straighten node (even without "Applying" anything) the video is then displayed/saved correctly. (We will look into fixing this.) Is this the issue you are experiencing or is it something else?If this *is* the issue, does clicking the Crop/Straighten node fix it?If this *isn't* the issue, can you give us more details about what is happening? (what it looks like, results, filetypes, any error messages, etc)What Mac OS are you running? (Also FYI, I'm moving your comment to a new thread in the CameraBag Cinema Bugs sub forum so we can track/fix)

Not loading video (but will load images)

Hrm. That doesn't sound like good software behavior A couple of questions Can you confirm you are downloading the CameraBag Cinema beta via the link at http://nevercenter.com/camerabag/forum/index.php?/topic/20-camerabag-cinema-beta-download/ ?What OS are you running? What kinds of videos were you trying to load (.mov? .mp4? .avi?)What happened when you tried to load video? Any error messages? A crash?(Also just FYI, I moved your post to the CameraBag Cinema Bugs section so we can follow through on testing this)
  12. A short photo-basics clip about what "color temperature" means and how to use it in CameraBag. (From the frequently-requested-answers archive)
  13. Another one we get a lot of questions in about, so we thought we'd put up a general answer. Not CameraBag-specific, but useful info to get straight. Hope it's useful!
  14. This is something many of you probably already have down pat, but it's easy to explain in CameraBag, and is generally photo-relevant. It's something we get questions sent in about, so we thought we'd put a little video up to explain.
  15. FAQ: How do I add downloaded filter sets into CameraBag? How can I get the legacy filters/styles back into the app? If you have a single downloaded filter, it's easy enough to simply drag the CBF into the CameraBag and then use "File > Save Filter to Presets". But if you have a whole set of filters that you'd like to add in, this is a great way to do it. This video specifically targets getting the legacy Borders, Cameras, and Styles back from CameraBag 2.6, but the same method will work for adding in any CBF filter sets.
