Dear Fans of CameraBag, We have big news! Today we’re releasing the next major version of our filter-focused photo editor CameraBag for Mac and PC! This new version is simply called CameraBag Photo (technically it’s version 3.0 of CameraBag), and builds on everything that led to the previous version being chosen by Apple as Mac App of the Year Runner-Up. Some of the top new features in CameraBag Photo include masking (HSV, luminance, and hue-based), 4-Way color wheels, multi-document tabs with side-by-side viewing, a live pixel inspector, animated hover previews, a redesigned dynamic preview chooser, collapsible filter and adjustment sections, a render queue window, color management on Mac, speed improvements, and dozens of new filters. Additionally, the interface has been updated for a fresh new look. Being “filter-focused” means that CameraBag Photo has the advanced tools (including RAW support) you need to make images look just how you want, but in an interface that makes it incredibly easy to reuse the styles you develop as custom filters. We think CameraBag Photo hits the sweet spot in modern photo editing software: it’s much more versatile and powerful than cheesy ‘one-click’ filter apps, but it’s much lighter, quicker, and more intuitive than bloated, so-called ‘pro’ photo software. CameraBag Photo is available now at nevercenter.com or on the Mac App Store. The normal retail price is $49, but it is being offered for a special limited-time launch sale price of $35 (30% off, use promo code LAUNCH). Updates to the new version are also reflected in a free update to CameraBag Cinema, the video-focused edition of CameraBag which retails for $99.
