Light line in Chrominance Chart

Recommended Posts

So this is related to video production stuff, and is mostly useful in the forthcoming CameraBag Cinema. In video color correction, this graph is a re-imagining of a Chrominance vectorscope. Basically, that line represents the maximum chrominance that each hue can have in a video before maxing out on a normal TV dislay (i.e. colors above that line will not look any more saturated than colors at that line when shown on a TV). Does that make sense? You basically don't want your colors to go above that line if you will be showing them on a TV/broadcast.
