CameraBag Photo: Filter-Focused Photo Editing for Mac
What does "filter-focused" photo editing mean? It means that CameraBag Photo has the advanced tools you need to make your images look just how you want, but in an interface that makes it incredibly easy to re-use the styles you develop as custom filters. Or to start with existing presets to emulate classic film stock, or to batch apply the same style to hundreds of photos. It means that CameraBag is built from top to bottom to help you develop a unique photographic style that is distinctly your own.
We’ve designed CameraBag Photo to sit in the sweet spot of photo software: it’s much more versatile and powerful than cheesy “one-click” filter apps, but much lighter, quicker, and more intuitive than bloated traditional “pro” photo software.
CameraBag Photo Press Release
Nevercenter today released CameraBag Photo, a filter-focused photo editing app for Mac and PC. CameraBag Photo is the next major version of Nevercenter’s award-winning desktop CameraBag software - the previous version was called CameraBag 2, and won Mac App of the Year Runner-Up from Apple in 2012. This new version includes significant feature additions, brand new filters, a refreshed interface, and more.
“We really think CameraBag Photo hits the sweet spot in modern photo editing software,” said Tom Plewe, President of Nevercenter. “It’s much more versatile and powerful than cheesy ‘one-click’ filter apps, but it’s much lighter, quicker, and more intuitive than bloated, so-called ‘pro’ photo software. It starts instantly but edits RAW photos with 96-bit precision.”
Being “filter-focused” means that CameraBag Photo has the advanced tools (including RAW support) users need to make images look just how they want, but in an interface that makes it incredibly easy to reuse the styles they develop as custom filters. Or to start with existing presets to emulate classic film stock. Or to batch apply the same style to hundreds of photos. It means that CameraBag is built from top to bottom to help photographers develop a unique, reusable style that is distinctly their own.
“We built CameraBag to especially meet the needs of anyone who has to deal with a lot of photos,” said Plewe, “whether that’s a pro sorting through hundreds of options for a single shot, or someone managing a photo-oriented social media account or building a website with a consistent look across many photos. They’re going to love how much easier this makes their lives.”
Some of the top new features in this version of CameraBag include masking (HSV, luminance, and hue-based), 4-Way color wheels, multi-document tabs with side-by-side viewing, a live pixel inspector, animated hover previews, a redesigned dynamic preview chooser, collapsible filter and adjustment sections, a render queue window, and color management on Mac, alongside speed improvements and dozens of new filters.
CameraBag Photo is available now at nevercenter.com or on the Mac App Store. The normal retail price is $49, but it is being offered for a special limited-time launch sale price of $35 (30% off). Updates to the new version are also reflected in a free update to CameraBag Cinema, the video-focused edition of CameraBag which retails for $99.
