Nevercenter Redesigns Photo Editing with Release of CameraBag 2
UPDATE: CAMERABAG 2 BECAME HIGHEST-GROSSING NON-APPLE APP IN THE MAC APP STORE
CameraBag 2 took off in its first few days of sale. It was featured by Apple and quickly reached the top 10 in the Mac App Store across all categories, becoming the highest grossing non-Apple app in the store.
New York, NY - February 2, 2012 -
Nevercenter today released CameraBag 2 for Mac and PC, a desktop photo app with a whole new approach to photos. Redesigned from the ground up, CameraBag 2's new Analog Engine pairs a full suite of photographic tools with the high quality filters and vintage simulations the series is already known for. Its key innovation is a stunningly straightforward approach to layering, rearranging, and endlessly tweaking all of these effects in realtime. The 100+ fully-adjustable filters and 25+ professional controls CameraBag 2 ships with are only the beginning, forming the palette from which users create their own styles. "The most common feedback we got from previous versions was that the user wanted greater control, without sacrificing CameraBag's straightforward, accessible nature," said Tom Plewe, Nevercenter's president. "We came up with a simple tile-based system which presents all the additional control from the new Analog Engine in a quick, intuitive way. Then we added full-screen Quicklooks and instant previews to emphasize a visual decision-making process. Instead of starting from scratch with a photo, you can compare a lot of great options, choose the very best one, and then start tweaking. And you never have to do the same work twice; once you create a new look or workflow, you just add it to the menu for next time."

CameraBag 2 Public Beta Release
Dec 6, 2011 - Dear World,
We're revolutionizing photos, and we need your help. A free, fully-functional public beta of CameraBag 2 for Mac and PC is now available. Use it as much as you like -- no restrictions -- throughout the beta period, and then let us know what you think.
The new CameraBag handles all photo tasks, from basic adjustments and cropping to powerful high-end controls, and it features the modern and vintage styles we're known for. But it's also more than that. We've rethought what photo editing means, how it should work, and why, of the billions of photos taken each year, nearly every shot looks much, much worse than it should.
So how did we do? Try it out, and let us know. We'll be designing to your specifications. The beta will remain fully functional and freely available to all throughout the holiday season. Do it for the ugly ones.

Nevercenter Releases New Photo App, Infinicam
September 28, 2010 - Nevercenter, makers of the hit iPhone app CameraBag, have released the new photography app Infinicam for iOS devices. Like CameraBag, Infinicam applies high quality effects to photos, but instead of having a set number of pre-defined camera styles, Infinicam offers an endless variety in a fun, stylish interface.
Infinicam is a process of photographic discovery and sharing. With each press of the New Camera button, Infinicam generates a new and unique randomized camera style (represented by a 7-digit code) that combines a wide array of photographic effects borrowed from analog cameras and film. These high quality effects go far beyond the usual range of toy camera styles, and Infinicam also features 18 high-quality film-style borders lovingly recreated to delight photography buffs. There are literally billions of possible camera styles to discover, with advanced algorithms in place to assure a high hit rate of unique, high quality results.
"If CameraBag is like having a dozen cameras with you at once," said Nevercenter President Tom Plewe, "Infinicam is like having a classic camera store next door with every camera ever made, and you get to try them all out and keep the ones you like."

PAX 10 Winner Shibuya Released for iPhone
September 9, 2010 - Nevercenter's atmospheric arcade puzzle game Shibuya, a winner of this year's PAX 10 Indie Showcase, has been released for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, and is available now in the App Store.
The game was selected by the creators of the popular webcomic Penny Arcade, to be featured along with nine other independent games at their annual gaming expo in Seattle. The winning games were displayed alongside triple-A titles in the heavily-trafficked PAX 10 booth space.
Gameplay centers around a unique, challenging, and highly addictive puzzle design. Players sort colors by assigning them to a stream of constantly-falling empty blocks, and then tap matched groups of color to remove them. Strategy and forethought are required, along with quick reflexes, to plan extensive combos or match up large groups of color for maximum points.

CameraBag Desktop 1.5 Adds Custom Filters, Batch Processing And More
May 18, 2010 - Nevercenter today released CameraBag Desktop 1.5, a significant free upgrade to the popular Mac and PC photo filter tool. The update introduces a new base filter and adds significant functionality such as batch processing and the saving and sharing of custom filters.
CameraBag's filters are a love letter to the analog era, instantly emulating photography's most beloved and iconic cameras, film, and processing techniques. Filters can be layered and combined for stunning effects, and the addictive Reprocess button subtly varies the results each time it's pressed. The newest filter, Silver, adds a vintage, tinted monochrome effect.
"People like CameraBag because it's simple, but doesn't take away from the creative process," said Nevercenter's John Plewe. "Everything's geared towards seeing great results right away and then refining the look from there."
