Default Shortcut: None
Menu Path: Modify > Orient
Description
The Orient tool performs a combination of moving and rotating based on the geometry around the current selection, to keep the selection oriented to the surrounding geometry. For example, if you have the face at the tip of a character's tail selected, you can use Orient to rotate it in a natural way based on the unselected geometry further up the tail.
Orient will only work on face selections.
Sticky Functionality
Press and hold the keyboard shortcut for this command to temporarily activate its manipulator, and move your mouse (no clicking necessary) to adjust the amount. Release the shortcut key to exit the tool. This allows you to model more quickly since you do not need to manually exit the tool.
