Getting your models in and out of Silo flawlessly is crucial, which is why we've overhauled the plumbing for almost every supported file type. You'll notice highly refined FBX capabilities (including better PBR material parsing and subdivision level support) as well as enhanced USD smoothing group handling. We've also tweaked how .glb files operate, ensuring embedded textures now intelligently unzip to a temporary folder to keep your workspace clean. STL handling is much more robust, Z-up axis conversions are better across the board, and we’ve streamlined the interface by moving the subdivision and modifier mesh toggles directly into the general Export Scene Options window.
On the workflow side, we're excited to introduce basic math support directly within all numerical input fields! You can now calculate on the fly and even mix different units in your equations for ultimate precision. All tool windows now remember their states between application restarts, which has been a longstanding annoyance we're overjoyed to finally deliver you from. Add in improved drag-and-drop functionality for images in the Material Editor, plus a generous round of bug fixes (Blender Bridge issues, tab focus issues, and more - see below), and this release is built to make your daily modeling sessions smoother than ever.
