We added tons of new features to Silo & Milo in 2022, and many more are coming in 2023!
2022 brought a truly remarkable number of new features and improvements to both Silo and its companion renderer, Milo. Silo saw the incorporation of Pixar’s OpenSubdiv to power its subdivision, built-in screen recording, a powerful implementation of non-destructive shape modifiers, and tons more. Milo added improved raytracing, VR improvements, playable reference characters, and saw other benefits from its upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. See more details below!

Dear Friends of Silo,
We are very excited to announce the final release of Silo 2022.0, which is ready for you to download now! This update comes with some MAJOR fundamental improvements to the deep inner workings of Silo.

Next, we’ve completely redesigned how Silo’s memory management works under the hood, which should increase the long-term stability and efficiency of Silo.
