CameraBag 2026.2 is here (Photo and Pro), with some of our biggest video workflow improvements yet.
CameraBag Pro can now automatically generate editable subtitles on videos with one click, and video scrubbing feels faster and more responsive. Color profile support has been improved, and Mac users can see export speeds up to twice as fast (including for slideshows and stills with audio exported from CameraBag Photo). This release also introduces a flexible new Shape Overlay adjustment for easily adding graphic elements to any composition.

Automatic subtitle generation takes much of the busywork out of preparing videos for sharing. CameraBag Pro can now create fully-customizable subtitles directly from your video, saving you from having to transcribe and time the dialogue yourself. It will create for you a Text Overlay adjustment that you can then tweak for text content, positioning, font, and more.
The rest of the video workflow has gotten a welcome speed boost, too. Faster scrubbing makes it easier to move through footage while editing, while performance improvements can cut video export times on Mac by as much as half. CameraBag now also embeds the Rec. 709 color profile in exported videos, helping other apps and video players interpret their colors more consistently.
For image editing and graphic work, the new Shape Overlay adjustment lets you add rectangles, rounded rectangles, circles, and ovals anywhere in your image. Each shape can be positioned and adjusted independently, opening up new options for frames, backgrounds, graphic accents, and more.
