Menu Path: File > Save Selected
Description
The Save Selected command allows you to save only the currently selected objects. If you are in a mode other than object mode, it will save all shapes which are currently editable (and have therefore been selected while in object mode). A dialog will open to allow you to choose a name, directory, and file type for the file.
